Dear Tucker Dean,
Monday, I had to go back to work. While I was home with you, I didn't think it would be hard to leave you and go to work. Sunday night, I started to get a bit emotional. On Monday it was very hard.
You get to stay with Aunt Kate while I am at work. She has been so excited to be able to watch you.
I took you to Aunt Kate's house, and went to work. While I was busy I was okay, but while the students were at Art and at lunch, I had to try really hard not to let any tears fall.
After school, I picked you up and came home and held you and cried. I was so happy to be back home with you. I don't know how your daddy was able to go back to work after such a short time with you. I didn't realize how hard it was for him.
After the first day, I have been a lot better. I still miss you every day, but it is not as sad anymore. Aunt Kate takes good care of you and I know you two have lots of fun while I am away.
In five short years, you will get to come with me to school, and I won't have to leave you behind. I look forward to that first day of Kindergarten!

Shots
Dear Tucker Dean,
On Thursday I had to take you to the doctor to get your first vaccinations. I was not looking forward to it. And I think if you knew what was going to happen, you wouldn't have looked forward to it either.
You did so good. First they weighed and measured you. You were 12lbs 14oz and were 24 3/4 inches long. You are one tall boy!!!
After the doctor checked you over and gave you a clean bill of health, the nurse came in and gave you your shots. You got 4!!!!! Two in each thigh. You were very MAD! I had never heard you scream like that. But once I picked you up and snuggled you, you calmed down and even gave me a little smile.
You don't need to get anymore shots until you are 4 months. So you get a little break from the trama.
Just remember it is all to keep you healthy.
