I Have a boyfriend

Not really, but I got your attention. One of my students is the son of a teacher at the school. She let me know today that he is in love with me!!! haha He told her that he really likes school and his teacher and that, "she is so beautiful" Then this afternoon they came by my room on their way home. She told me that he insisted on seeing me before they left. I think that is so cute.

The first week is taking forever. The kids are doing pretty well for the first week. I'll whip them into shape pretty easily. Except for two. One of my girls and one of boys. They are really defiant. The boy kinda reminds me of Kyle. When Kyle was little he would get this look on his face and we knew he was going to cause some trouble (torment Clay). It is this devilish smile. Well this boy in my class has it on his face all the time. Today I actually had to say to him, "Stop smiling, this is not funny, you are in a lot of trouble." Then the girl - she can't sit still for the life of her. Now don't get me wrong, I know they are five and can't sit for a long time so I have them up and moving every five minutes. OH Plus today she was in time out for flipping someone off. The two kids will take a lot longer to tame. I am happy that I have stopped the little girl from telling me no. She learned to stop that after the first day!

I do have to say though, the second year is definetly easier. I was planning for next week and all I had to do was open up my lesson book from last year and make a few tweaks. I was done planning in 10 minutes! Last year it took up to an hour to plan. (FYI - for all those teachers reading this - I'm talking 10 min to write it down not actually getting all the materials ready - thats still taking a while)
