In regards to my last post - Things are much better. On Thursday we started from scratch. When the kids got there we discussed all the rules again and talked about having a great day. We all worked really hard on that (myself included). So Thursday was a very good day. Friday as well!!
Now it is the bless ed weekend!!! I have a busy day ahead of my but I have already crossed off 1 1/2 things off my list. I have scanned the kids graduation photos into my computer and cleaned half of my room.
Now all I need to do is finish cleaning my room, go to a bridal shower, and practice frosting a cake. It will be a good day!!!

In Desperate Need
Today was one of my worst days. The kids were on their worst behavior. I was at the point today where I didn't know what else to do. I was so frusterated. The kids wouldn't listen - and I mean some kids down right ignored me - and they wouldn't shut up. Ahhhhhhh - I finally said it - SHUT UP!!!!! I can't say that to the kids - man that would be bad. So I have to come home and say it. I have wanted to say it all day! Oh the relief I feel already.
I have been told I have great classroom management skills and a calm demeanor with the kids. I got spoiled last year with a great group of kids. This year - not so great. But after today and some others not quite so bad - but still not good, I have to wonder if it is my fault that the kids are the way they are. Was I not strict enough with them in the beginning and now it is getting worse? Who Know. I just pray that tomorrow will be better.
All afternoon I could only think of one thing - a relaxing bath. However - will I get that bath - NOPE. Our bath is way too small for me. The bath would be more uncomfortable than relaxing. But can you picture it? A quiet house. Lights turned off. Candles lit. Scented bath salts. ahhhhhhh - a warm fluffy towel and robe afterwards.

MAN! I need my own place!!!

I Did Well
So today was my first real day of budgeting. Saturday was the day I decided to start my budget. Sunday was a day with no shopping. So I had plenty of opportunities to spend money today.

The girls wanted to go to lunch today. I respectfully declined. They went ahead and went to lunch so I sat with the second grade teachers (a great group of ladies) to eat lunch. Yes! Bring it on Spending Bug!!!!
We have book companies come and bring books and stuff to sell. I have been good this year and only bought one thing. Well they were back today! Everything they brought was $5. There were two books that I wanted. I even had them in my hand! But NO, I won't do it!!! I won't give into temptation. I put the books back and was very proud of myself.
After school I had to go to Micheals. Yes, I HAD TO. Mothers day is coming up and the craft that my kids are making for their mothers required those large bead things that go in pots. SO I had to buy them. Okay, so I have to spend money, let me try to spend as little as I can. The dollar store was next to Michaels so I went their first. The bags they had were pretty small so I would have to get alot of them. So I went to Michaels and got a large bag and used a 40% off coupon I had. So instead of spending $7 I spent $4.
I really think I can do this!!!!
Change of Subject...

I got an e-mail today at work. It was from the Phoenix Zoo. The are having an educators day on May 16th! Teachers, after reserving a spot, get to go to the phoenix zoo and learn about the programs they have for students. Educators will get an opportunity to participate in inquiry-based career workshops, unique behind-the-scenes experiences, and guided tours of our Arizona Trail led by one of their educational specialists. Additionally, the Zoo-to-You staff will be on hand providing educational, energetic, and engaging animal presentations. All for free. I called and reserved my spot! I am very excited!!!!
